Mother and child care programmes is one of pivotal importance in combating MMR & IMR in rural areas. Bothe Central and state Govt. have been playing dominant role in mother & Child care support programme with the help of Asha workers and ICDS staffs. But rural mothers are not conscious to access the govt. welfare schemes due to lack of their knowledge & education.
Besides this, rural mothers are not awarded about ANC & PNC care and personal health and hygiene as well as they are victims of some social prejudices. As a result, rural mother and children are victimized by some riskful diseases.
On appreciation of the situation and besides Govt attempts, IAD organized numbers awareness generation camps at 8 villages 0f Udaynarayanpur block with the collation of Asha, ANM and BPHC to aware the rural women about good sanitation system and welfare schemes available procedure of accessibility and imparting knowledge about anti natural care and post natal care. 750 mother and family members attended the camps and exchanged their views and appreciated our initiation in this respect.
