Qualified physicians are not available in rural areas in relation to huge demand of the community.Rural peoples have to depend on the services of registered medical practitioners (RMP) to a great extent. But RMPS are not equipped with modern system of treatment due to lack of proper education and knowledge. As a result, they are not in a position to offer better treatment. Often on, the patients became victims of wrong treatment.
To provide basic knowledge and idea about modern technique of treatment , we organized 5 RMP training camps at BPHC with the collaboration of Block Medical officer of health (BMOH) to provide basic information in respect of basic health care and support services of the community for relieving patients suffering from various diseases. 35 RMPs attended these training programmes. RMPS appreciated our initiation to a great extent and urge us to organize such camp in every year for refreshing and updating their knowledge.
